Mini Egg Hello Dolly Bars
Is it possible to make Mini Eggs more addictive? Yes, it can! Just add them to these Hello Dolly inspired Bars and you will have an Easter knock-out dessert bar!!! When Spring arrives I immediately start thinking about Mini-Eggs. They are perfect for adding to your desserts and these bars are no exception. Are you familiar with a Hello Dolly, Seven Layer or Magic Bar? These bars all start off with a base of graham cracker crumbs and have the sweetened condensed milk. When you add the Mini Eggs to these bars they become an instant festive bar with the Spring colours. Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
- 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cups chopped up Cadbury Mini-Eggs
- Optional: ½ cup chopped pecans
Directions
- Step 1
- Preheat oven to 350 ℉ and line a 9” x 13” baking dish with parchment paper. Makes 20 bars.
- Step 2
- Melt butter in a medium size microwavable dish. Stir in graham cracker crumbs.
- Step 3
- Press mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish lined with parchment paper.
- Step 4
- Sprinkle coconut evenly over the top of the crust.
- Step 5
- Pour can of sweetened condensed milk on top of the coconut layer.
- Step 6
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped up mini eggs over the condensed milk layer
- Step 7
- Place in the oven for 26 minutes at 350 ℉ until edges are golden brown and top is lightly bubbling.
- Step 8
- Let bars cool completely in the pan for a minimum of 1 hour before cutting into bars.
- Step 9
- You can place in the fridge for 20 minutes to make it easier for slicing. Store bars at room temperature for up to 5 days or place in the freezer for up to 3 months.
