Chocolate Almond Granola
Are you trying to make healthier snack choices? This granola can be put together quickly and is made with 10 ingredients. You can add the chocolate chips or leave them out completely. This granola is made with maple syrup instead of refined sugars. I love how I can get my chocolate and nut fix too! You can enjoy this granola sprinkled on yogurt and fruit or on its own as a snack. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- ½ cup almond butter
- ⅓ cup maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1 tsp almond extract
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups large flake oats
- ½ cup thinly sliced almonds
- ½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- ¼ cup ground almonds
- Pinch salt
- ¼ cup semi sweet or dark chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
- Step 1
- Preheat the oven to 325 ℉. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2
- In a medium bowl melt coconut oil.
- Step 3
- Add in almond butter, maple syrup, cocoa powder and almond extract. Stir until combined.
- Step 4
- Add in oats, ground almonds, coconut and sliced almonds.
- Step 5
- Stir until oat mixture is completely covered.
- Step 6
- Spread mixture onto baking sheet. Bake for 18 minutes.
- Step 7
- Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
- Step 8
- Let cool completely and place in an airtight container. Granola will keep for up to 1 week. You can also place granola in a ziploc freezer bag or container and freeze for 3 months .
